Honored to have, Blue Bounty, invited by jury into this year's 89th regional art exhibition at the Muskegon Museum of Art! This year there were over 800 artworks submitted from 358 artists and the juror selected 156 works from 146 artists.
Come see my painting, Winter Squashes, at Patricia's Chocolates and the downtown Grand Haven community dressed up in artwork. The Grand Haven Art Walk was established in 2010 as an annual collaboration of artists, local businesses and members of the lakeshore community in a collective celebration of art. The awards ceremony is Oct 5 at 6pm at the community center. Artist meet and greet is October 1 so come out and say hello!
Come say hello, I'll be at the Fallasburg Art Festival this year! This is the 49th annual and a 2-day festival held in Fallasburg Park, located approximately 20 miles east of Grand Rapids in Lowell,MI. The event features 100 unique fine art and fine craft booths, food booths, children's craft area, craft demonstrations, and music performed on an outdoor stage. Annual attendance estimates are 25,000.
Honored to have my oil painting, Violet Tornado, juried into The Holland Area Arts Council's 7th annual MI Arts: All Michigan All Media Visual Arts Competition this fall. This is my baby arts council. I have watched it grow since it began decades ago; so, this is a special event for me.
I am honored that my painting, Prince Albert, won the Timermanis award and was juried into the 2017 Festival of the Arts Regional Art Competition.
2017 Regional Arts Exhibition Opening Reception will be held at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University in the Fed Galleries on Wednesday, May 31 from 5:00 to 8:30 pm. The Fed Galleries are located in the Woodbridge N. Ferris Building at 17 Pearl St. NW.
Join with volunteers and artists and celebrate this evening of the exploration of art from our community. Artists from the eight counties of Kent, Ionia, Barry, Allegan, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Ottawa were eligible to enter the juried show.
You will get a chance to see 242 works of art and once again get to visit this grand building that was for so long the home of the festival show. We also wish to thank the people at KCAD who have made this possible and everyone we have worked with who have all been so welcoming and supportive in this community endeavor.
